At TBWA\UNITED we had a long and successful relationship with Heineken as key partner in activating their
UEFA Champions League (UCL) Sponsorship around the world.
For years we also produced Henieken's Champions League Trophy Tour, taking the ‘trophy with big ears’
to far-reaching places around the world, with consistently innovative creative expression.
In this example below, the Trophy Tour travelled to Buenos Aires, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Lagos.
Argentinian, Vietnamese and Nigerian football fans showed up in large numbers to experience the world of Champions League football presented by Heineken.
Memorabilia, interactive games, an AR app, and the Trophy itself, turned thousands of UCL fans into Heineken fans
AR Magic!
To make the exhibition even more memorable and recognizable as a Heineken event, we created a virtual layer of content for the exhibition,
which could be unlocked and viewed with a specially developed Augmented Reality app for smartphones and tablets.
We created a number of virtual graphic and 3D animations illustrating the football facts highlighted in the exhibition.
These animations were activated by the special app, and provided a surprising and inspiring level of experience for the visitors.
The Heineken Ibiza Final Party
We developed and delivered Heineken's UEFA Champions League Ibiza Final Party, helping Heineken celebrate their
unique and long-standing association with both music and football over the same weekend.
The Heineken Ibiza Final is a consumer event for 500 lucky prize winners from all over the globe,
who get to watch the UEFA Champions League final at a private screening in Ibiza.
The Floating Heineken Bar
During daytime before the match the winners were taken to a private bay where Heineken offered a premium party experience including lounge, games,
entertainment, food, Heineken beer and… a unique bar which could only be reached by boat.
A great design project which included branding, experience, engineering, nautics, assembly and dismantle, shipping, logistics
and last but not least: serving ice cold Heineken beer!
